Hull 1974-77

The walk down Holderness Rd to the Art college next to Wilberforce monument provided a rich supply of city icons- buildings, billboards, signs, symbols, streetlights, lamposts, overhead wires etc. Discovering the cityscapes of Edward Hopper and the light effects on buildings. Massive warehouses along the dock areas and terraced rows of houses dwarfed by gasometers.
